May 30 — Ricky Thomas IV of St. Louis won the final round of High School class eliminations tonight at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois. Thomas faced Luke Albietz of Wentzville, Missouri and won on the starting line when Albietz fouled by .020-sec.

To reach the final, Thomas waded through a 17-car field by defeating Clay Crowe in the first round, Austin Maylor in the second, Brian Garcia in the third. Thomas singled in the semi-final.

For Albietz, it was his third appearance in the final round in four High School races held this year.
