Dear WWTR Drag Strip Racers:

World Wide Technology Raceway’s drag strip will start the RTI process on Friday and Saturday during ETI hours: Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The RTI is designed for your typical “street car” — mostly the Wide Open Wednesday, Midnight Madness and Mid-America Heads-up participants.

This will be a drive-up, stay-in-your-car service.

We are asking everyone to bring ALL safety equipment with them. They will proceed through the main gate and into the infield. The west side of the infield pavilion will have a drive-up lane for RTI.

Everyone needs to complete the digital RTI form that was emailed to racers today (May 7), and print out two (2) copies. We will not have any forms available at the track so you MUST bring them with you.  You will go through the standard tech Inspection process. Once we verify that everything on your car is legal, we will issue a sticker for the year with a WWTR number that you will use at each event. We will keep one copy of the completed RTI and you will get one copy back that you must keep in your car and bring it with you to each event. The RTI will be valid for two (2) years – unless safety equipment expires first.

If you have questions, please email Brad Cannon at [email protected], or Taryn ([email protected]) or drag strip manager George ([email protected]).

You do not need to schedule an appointment. This will be a drive-up service, so please stay in your car, do not form groups, and do follow social distancing guidelines for Illinois.
