July 10, 2021, 10 a.m. CDT, St. Louis Region – Officials for World Wide Technology Raceway and the Premier Street Car Association (PSCA) have announced the postponement of today’s Street Car Super Nationals. Strong overnight storms (which resulted in heavy rain, hail and wind gusts in excess of 70 miles per hour) as well as today’s forecast that calls for additional severe storms throughout the evening, made the decision inevitable.
The SCSN event now will merge with the Heads-up Hootenanny portion of the August 13-14 Summer Speed Spectacular. The August 13 and 14 event already featured many of the classes that were part of SCSN so the decision to adjust dates was the best option possible.
The participants in PSCA’s Limited Drag Radial, X275 and Small Tire No Time classes who qualified on Friday, July 9, for the Street Car Super Nationals will complete their event on Friday, August 13. Their eliminations will run concurrently with qualifications for new arrivals for the Saturday, August 14 Heads-Up Hootenanny. New arrivals in those three classes will be limited to qualifying and elimination only for the Saturday, August 14 event.
The August 13-14 Summer Speed Spectacular drag racing action will feature: PSCA Pro Xtreeme, Big Tire No Time, Limited Drag Radial, X275 and Small Tire No Time. The event also will feature two days of NHRA JEGS Super Quick competition, the Nostalgia Drag Racing League, a Jr. Dragster exhibition and special match races.
