May 9, 2018, St. Louis Region – Luke Albietz of Wentzville, Missouri, won the final round of High School class eliminations during tonight’s Wide Open Wednesday presented by AAA Insurance at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois.
Albietz’s 1993 Corvette ran 13.285 seconds at 99.86 mph to Smith’s Mustang’s 12.619 seconds at 112.35 mph.
To reach the final, Albietz waded through tonight’s 14-car field by defeating Gilliam Dugopolski in the first round of eliminations, Brian Garcia in the second and Amanda Miller in the semi-final.
