Ace Racing of Sullivan, Missouri, to sponsor WWTR NHRA Lucas Oil doubleheader

September 23, 2020, St. Louis Region – A local company – Ace Racing of Sullivan, Missouri – will sponsor this weekend’s NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series doubleheader at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois. The company is the high performance division of Ace Manufacturing & Parts Company, a family-owned business founded by Carl Ijames in 1967.

“ Ace Racing Clutches make driving fun,” said manager Kevin Ijames Jr. “As a local manufacturer of high performance clutches we felt like this was a great opportunity to start working with WWTR. Be sure to contact Ace Racing for all your clutch, flywheel or friction needs.”

Due to the pandemic, WWTR’s popular NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional event, originally scheduled for October, moved to the weekend of September 26-27, following the addition of a Lucas Oil Series divisional event on September 24-25.

“The many changes taking place with venues throughout the country presented this unique opportunity,” said Chris Blair, World Wide Technology Raceway’s Executive Vice President and General Manager. “One of the biggest expenses faced by the sportsman racer is the cost of getting to and from the track. This schedule adjustment provides racers with the opportunity to make one haul to the St. Louis area, compete in two Lucas Oil Series events and remain on-site for the following weekend’s Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals.”
