September 4, 2018, St. Louis Region – INDYCAR today released its 2019 schedule. Gateway Motorsports Park’s third annual Bommarito Automotive Group 500 will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2019. GMP’s race is the 15th of a 17-race schedule and will be the final oval track race of the season.
The next major event on the GMP schedule is the September 21-23 AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals for the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. The three-day national event is a crucial Countdown to the Championship race and will feature the world’s biggest names in professional drag racing, including 16-time NHRA Funny Car champion John Force and five-time Gateway Top Fuel Dragster winner Antron Brown. Kids 12 and under are free with paid adult to experience nitromethane-burning, 10,000-horsepower dragsters racing in excess of 330 miles per hour. CLICK HERE for more information.
