MOUNTAIN MOTOR PRO STOCKS COMING TO WWTR FOR 2020 AAA INSURANCE NHRA MIDWEST NATIONALS

October 10, 2019, St. Louis Region – The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) today released the 2020 schedule for the Mountain Motor Pro Stock category, which will compete at six of the 24 events on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series calendar. The Mountain Motor Pro Stocks will compete at World Wide Technology Raceway as part of the 2020 AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals.

“We are very excited to showcase the Mountain Motor Pro Stocks in 2020 at World Wide Technology Raceway,” said Chris Blair, WWTR’s Executive Vice President and General Manager. “Full-bodied cars with 840 cubic inch engines producing nearly 2,000 horsepower and running more than 230 miles per hour in the quarter mile is something all race fans will love.

“When you combine this class with the Factory Stock Showdown, Pro Mods, Nitro Funny Cars and Top Fuel Dragsters, you have more than just a race — you have a spectacle. Just when you think that the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals can’t get any better, this addition takes it to a new level.”

This exciting category participated in four national events during the 2019 season and delighted fans with their dynamic paint schemes, throwback hood scoops, and impressive wheel stands that go on for the first 100 feet of a launch. Adding two more events for the 2020 season means even more fans will get the opportunity to check out what makes Mountain Motor Pro Stock so special.

WWTR’s 2020 edition of the AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals is scheduled for October 2-4.
